Sasha Tregebov, Director of BIT Canada, presented research from the Behavioural Insights Team on how climate change messaging can help increase support for climate change initiatives. This was a collaborative event, hosted with the Action Design Network and Clean SMC.
We hosted Lisa Kramer, professor of Finance at the University of Toronto and a research fellow at BEAR, to talk about the connection between human mood and financial market seasonality. Her studies have been extensively profiled by the popular press, including The Wall Street Journal, US News and World Reports, The Washington Post, Bloomberg Business, Business Week, and Time.
In this workshop, we partnered with several organizations on the University of Toronto campus, including the Action Design Network, to explore how behavioural design can help overcome psychological barriers to getting on a bike.
CUBS partnered with BEAR (Behavioural Economics in Action at Rotman) to put on a Careers in Behavioural Insights event, where MBA students and undergrads were able to network with a range of industry leaders and learn about different career opportunities.
Our first event was a sold-out seminar led by Professor Robert (Bob) Gazzale, where students learned about current research directions in the field of Behavioural Economics.
